Surf Safety Tips:
Lifegaurds - 10am - 6pm
Green Flags - Safe swimming
Red Flags - Unsafe swimming conditions
Yellow Flags - Surfing, Skim Boarding and Fishing allowed
Be aware of Rip Currents - Rip currents can pull you away from the shore at an alarming rate. If caught you should swim along the shore line. If you can’t change the direction you are swimming tread water of float until help arrives. Heading into the water to help someone that is caught in a rip current is the exact wrong thing to do. Call a lifeguard, call to the swimmer with instructions to get out of the rip current and if possible throw something to them that floats.
Sun Safety Tips:
Wear protective clothing, glasses, hats
Stay hydrated
