Dear CEO

Dear CEO,

Got Milk?

My children have just transferred to a new school and they are bringing some behavior home that I am not accustomed to. The other night at dinner my oldest, 13 said "May I please have a cup of milk?". Shortly after asking he yells out, "Now!" I was so shocked and horrified that I reacted with yanking electronics but that form of punishment doesn't seem to have the same impact that it once did. Help I need back up!

Fondly,

A fellow CEO

Dear Fellow CEO,

I so know what you mean about the taking away electronics consequences not having the same impact that they once did. Any type of consequence that is over used will lose it's power. So here is a creative way to handle the situation the next time it comes up, or if too much time hasn't passed you could use now. I would start my saying, "Dear child, you must have mistaken me for someone else. I am not your servant, I am your mother. To insure that this mistake doesn't happen again, you will be the family's "drink servant for the next week".

With love,

The CEOoftheHouse

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you gave it a try and what the outcome was.
