Sphero: Cool Robot Ball!

Win a Free Sphero 2.0 Robot Ball-Details Below

Sphero 2.0 is a super cool robotic ball that you control with an app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. With four kids, from 11 to 15 years old, I am sad to share that it has been quite a while since a gift other than an Apple branded device or sports equipment has captured the imagination of any of my kids.  Well Sphero has done it!  My 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son opened the Sphero 2.0 box, and from unpacking the jumping ramp, charging base, and Sphero robot ball, they have been hooked.  Downloading Sphero apps from the App Store was a snap and the kids were learning to steer and control Sphero in minutes.  It is simply a device like no other that we have ever had.

Sphero Apps: Macrolab, OrbBasic, and more

Sphero 2.0 has over two dozen published apps available on the iPhone App Store and the Eco system of apps continues to expand.  From fun group or party games like Color Grab or Pass the Bomb to the programming and coding oriented apps like Macrolab and OrbBasic, there is something for everyone when it comes to Sphero 2.0 Apps.  Check out DuffleGamer’s intro to the main Sphero app:

The sphero ball is so cool I love it! I would play with it every day. I love the rubber casing too. I did some research about it, and it’s amazing that it can go up ramps, and that you can controll it with you iPhone, iPad, and more!
