Peanut Clusters

As you all know, I love my slow cooker.  I especially love it when the recipe makes me look like the most amazing cook around.  It is recipes like this one that remind me of that great Rice Krispies commercial where the mom comes out of the kitchen with a plate of treats but she looks like she has slaved all day in the kitchen.

Make sure you read all the way through the recipe before turning the slow cooker on.


  • 1-Baker’s Sweet German Chocolate Bar
  • 1-12 oz package of Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 1- 24 oz Dark Chocolate
  • 1-24 oz White Chocolate Morsels
  • 1-16 oz Dry Roasted Unsalted Peanuts
  • 1-16 oz Dry Roasted Salted Peanuts


  1. Layer ingredients in the slower cooker in the order they  appear.
  2. Turn slow cooker on low.
  3. Check the crock pot to make sure cluster mixture is melting and not burning after 90 minutes and every 20 minutes after that.
  4. Once melted, stir thoroughly with a large sturdy spoon.
  5. Prepare cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Drop bite sized spoonfuls onto the parchment paper.
  7. Let cool.
  8. The recipe yields about 120 clusters so have a plan for getting them out of the house or you are going to see yourself signing up for Weight Watchers before the new year.
  9. I love surprising the teachers at school with a sweet treat but know that they receive a ton during the holidays, so I tend to deliver my sweets at other times during the year.
